Vehicle Insurance

Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. Your prize possession went boom or been lodged underwater. Perhaps a thief took it and dumped it never to be found again. Regardless, we've all been there and it's not very fun. This guide is going to help you recover your vehicle from insurance and how it works!

What is it?

If your vehicle has broken down/de-spawned/been stolen and not returned/been put underwater etc. anything that doesn't involve your vehicle being impounded or stored in a garage will result in the vehicle going into insurance. You can retrieve the vehicle at any time for a percentage of its stock value.

NOTE: When pulling a car from insurance you can select to store it at a garage or drive it immediately.

Where is it?

Car Insurance - There are four car insurance locations across the map: two in the city of Los Santos, one in Sandy Shores, and one in Paleto Bay. You can spot them by their unique orange icon featuring a crashed car, which looks like this:

Boat Insurance - There are two boat insurance locations on the map: one in South Los Santos near the docks, and another in North Sandy Shores by the lake. You can find them by their orange icon featuring a house with an anchor inside, as shown below:

Plane Insurance - There is one plane insurance location on the map, found in South Los Santos at Los Santos International Airport. Look for the orange icon featuring a house with a plane inside, as shown below:

Heli Insurance - There is one helicopter insurance location on the map, situated in Sandy Shores just east of the Sandy Shores Airfield. You can find it by its orange icon featuring a house with a helicopter inside, as shown below:
