Repairing
Repairing Vehicles
So you've banged your car a few too many times and you're now smoking out but you have no idea where to go or what to do... Look no further, here we will go through how to repair your vehicle, where you will find these locations and what to do if your car has died nowhere near these locations!
Repair Logic
- When you crash your car the damage percentage starting from 0 will count up and up, when you reach a point where you have hit the car too many times or the percentage is too high your car will begin to smoke and reduce in power until it fully smokes out and the car becomes undrivable. You repair your vehicle to reset the damage percentage and ensure the car is drivable.
- Repair prices may vary depending on the type of car you own and what it is classified as, typically Supercars and Hypercars will cost more to repair per % than your typical road car.
- Repair prices will fluctuate depending on how badly damaged your car is, if your car is heavily damaged and is smoking it will cost more to repair than it would if the car was lightly scraped.
- The time it takes to repair a car will also vary based on how damaged the vehicle is, as a guide, the higher the price of repair = the longer the repair will take. Sometimes this may take up to a minute.
- In Police Chases you MAY NOT repair your vehicle unless specifically instructed to by the Police chasing you, this will only really happen when a chase is interrupted due to head pops and the car gets damaged because of this reason.
Repair Stations
Option number 1! You can find repair stations dotted across the entirety of the map and are accompanied by a POI which can be identified by their spanner-shaped icon.
Upon arriving at the repair location you will be presented with the option to repair for a fee. Once you have paid and the process has completed you now may enjoy smashing your car to pieces again! If you do not get the option to repair ensure you are as close to the spanner icon as possible and ensure the car is stationary.
Vehicle Garages
Option number 2! Personal garages may be used to repair a vehicle, they are located in many popular spots within the city and can be located with the POI in the shape of a blue hangar icon.
As well as storing owned vehicles they can also serve as a pretty good repair station too! Different from repair stations you can pay to repair the vehicle without needing to be inside it, you can run off and do whatever and it will be repaired inside the garage. A timer will be shown on how long is left until the car is ready to use again. Once this timer expires you can pull the vehicle out and damage it again until your heart's content!
DW Customs Services
Option number 3! DW Customs roadside service can prove very valuable if you want to restore your car but cannot get to a repair station or garage and save you a lot of money! You can find DW Customs on your phone and by pressing "Y" and then navigating to the services app you can find the DW Customs contact icon.
