Without the right perks, they’ll still treat you like the neighborhood jester and swing on sight Once you start unlocking those perks down below, the locals finally chill out. Fewer ambushes, less random violence, and maybe (just maybe) a little respect.

Respect:

My Neighbor: Locals will no longer attack you when selling drugs within your territory.
Affiliated: You're less likely to be targeted by gang members while within your territory.
